President’s Message from BEV MARTEL, CPA-PCA President
Hello CPA-PCA Members,
I hope this message finds you well and revved up for another exciting update for the club. Our 47th Swap meet was a roaring success. In Steve Baun’s words, “It was record setting for the numbers of vendors participating, Peoples Choice Concours and Porsche Corral.” It could not have been possible without the seventy some volunteers. I personally extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who lent a hand.
I received an email from a gentleman, who is a member of Ohio Valley Region, who had the Swap on his to-do list for years, and finally was able to make the seven-hour trip. He was not disappointed. He commented on how organized we were and how friendly. He had a lengthy list of parts he was looking for and was able to obtain half of them plus more.
I’ll leave the rest of the story to Steve and the Swap team.
Now let’s talk about what we do with the funds that are raised by the Swap. CPA-PCA has been a generous club when we have funds. We donate a good portion of our profits to local charities. We have a team of diligent volunteers who vet the groups, to be sure they meet our specifications for receiving funds. We also subsidize our club events for the members.
Be ready for more exciting activities so that we can rev our engines (well maybe).
